My Sketches: The Runway Models

i woke one morning with this brilliant idea of a super ambitious art project that would include dozens - if not hundreds - of drawings and paintings of runway models.  so, i got to practicing.

part of my plan involved my theory that if i flooded the viewer with hundreds of images of these models that eventually the veiwer would satiate on the image of these cookie-cutter marchers.  one of my reasons for wanting to dilute the image of a model is to bring the attention back to the more unique faces making them interesting for people again.  

drawing them was so monotonous that it started seem like i could draw these woman with my eyes closed.  and, soon there after, i became satiated with the runway models.
